The current EDCTP-2 INTENSE-TBM project, initially planned to end in December 2023, received a no-cost extension until June 2025.

In the meantime, a new project has been accepted for funding by EDCTP-3 to allow reaching the 768 inclusions as planned. This new project will finish end-2026.

The total budget is over €11 million Euros.
