When capacity building reaches target

An important milestone for the PK-PD sub-study in Madagascar

In May 2025, the Analakininina University Hospital in Tamatave/Toamasina, Madagascar recruited its first participant in the PK-PD sub-study and successfully performed two cerebrospinal fluid samples (in May and July) in accordance with the protocol.

This is a major step forward for this site, as part of the INTENSE-TBM capacity-building programme (WP2).

All stages of sample collection, preparation and storage, right up to the planning of temperature-controlled transport to the capital city, were successfully carried out by the site team.
