In July 2025, the coordinating investigator (WP1), the international trial manager (WP3), the international monitor (WP3) and the clinical advisory committee (WP4) travelled to Uganda to conduct the programme summarised below.

– Meeting with medical / coordination teams

– Validation of the causes of death

– Monitoring activities

– Closure of the sites (Mbarara and Kabale)

With 62 participants included in the INTENSE-TBM trial, the 2 sites of Uganda significantly have participated to reach the target of recruitment.
